Ways to make your Blog perfect in blogging business should be a major priority of every blogger. Some of the lazy bloggers who tries to copy and paste other peoples work ends up being like those that didn’t end up well. As time goes on they will all fade away.

Today we shall look at how to be different ways to make your Blog perfect from others in blogging entrepreneur. When we talk about being different, we mean being a unique writer or publisher. I have always advised my students that it is better they write rubbish instead of copying from others. Even search engines detest that method.

Blogging is a career as I will always say. But those who want to make it over night makes the job less interesting to those who are really called to become a blogger. I do not want any of you reading this post to get discouraged when you are not getting exactly what you want at the early stage of your blogging career.

Things To Know As A Blogger

Please permit me to tell you a story of my experience as a blogger. It all started in 2009 when a friend introduced me to blogging. Honestly, my major aim was to become an information provider but if in any way money comes out of it then am ok with it.

I created my first blog that with little or knowledge of the things required of me to become a better blogger. The person who eventually helped me to host my blog didn’t inform of me of some of the things I will tell you here. I was a complete novice but thanks to God, today am more experienced and well inform than yester years.

Below are the few things you aught to know as blogger as to discovering the ways to make your Blog perfect:

Know the type of domain name you want your site to bear. Example: .com domain is better than .ng.
Decide on the Niche you want your website to focus. When you focus on a particular niche, it will give you more insight to always know what to write any day any time.
Make sure the server you hosted your website is reliable. What do I mean by reliable? Meaning, it won’t have a bandwidth limit which may warrant OFF and ON website.
Make a decision on the type of website. That is, if it is a WordPress site, Blogger, Joomla, phpBB, SMF, Open Real Estate, WHMCS, MyBB, pH7CMS, Concrete5, Opencart, Laravel, Oxwall and Dolphin.
Decide if you want a blog, micro blog, portals/CMS, Forums, Image Galleries, Wikis, Social Networking, Ad management, Polls and Analytics, E-Commerce, Guest Books, Customer Support, Educational, Music, etc.
Make sure the website or blog has a Secure Sockets layer (SSL). You can Google how SSL works.

Things You Have To Stop Doing To Become A Successful Blogger

Now, there are things you have to stop doing as a blogger if you must succeed in the business. Some of these things are very common to bloggers especially the newbies in the business. Some of the things you are to stop doing are as follows:

Copy And Paste (Plagiarism)

Plagiarism is a serious offence in writing and web publishing. Google usually frown at publishers who copy from other publishers without thorough editing. Meanwhile, as a person, I don’t like copying peoples articles and that’s one of the things that makes you different from others in blogging business.

I guess some may not have understood what I mean by copy and paste. In a simple and clear definition, it means, lifting exactly what someone has on his or her blog and put it in your personal blog.

This particular act affects not only you but also affect the person whom you copied from. Because in some cases Google may index your copied post and rank you above the person you copied from. I usually warn my students to Stop the copy and paste act.

Scanty And Undetailed Articles

Before now any body can write anything and get indexed without struggle. Articles less than one thousand (1000) words will usually find it hard to rank above those that has more than one thousand words.

Some SEO Plugins like SEO YOAST will require you write not less than three hundred (300) words. But remember this 300 words is just the minimum for you to get a green button. But Rankmath will insist you have above 1000 words before ticking it as passed.

However, detailed article must have sub-heading and guides where necessary.

Stop Using Short Tail Keyword

Over the years it has been discovered that long tail keyword rank better than short tail keyword especially for new websites. Is only the big websites like shoutmeloud.com, lindaikejiblog.com that can rank better with the short keyword. Reason being that, they have gained more domain authority than the new websites with same competitive keyword.

My secret as a blogger does not only lies on how better I use keyword. But am always detailed in each article I write. I also make sure that I combine the long tail and short tail keyword in every post I publish.

We want to be unique in our business and that is why we needed to discuss how to be different from others in blogging business. To become a unique blogger, do the following things:

Focus On A Niche

Focusing on a particular niche will help you have a direction and focus. What do I mean by Niche? I mean, the area you want to concentrate as per your blogging articles. You can decide to concentrate on technology only.

Doing so will help you focus all you attention to technology articles. Google will index your blog as a technology blog. And it is determined by the articles you started with in our blog. I made a mistake in one of my blog as a begginer then, I wrote so many Music articles and Movies articles. This made Google to see that blog as a movie and music website.

Do not make the same mistake I made please.

Write More Detailed Post

When I say more detailed post, I mean writing above 1000 words in every of your article. Be explicit in your writing and decide a pattern of writing. Make your post very different from any other site posts. Do you know that, long articles will not be copied easily because if someone wants to copy your post, he or she may end up copying links that linked to your site and thereby giving you a backlink.

Hussle For Backlinks

The number of good backlinks you have determines how far your website can compete with the big websites out there on Search Engines.

Backlinks popularly known as “inbound links”, “incoming links” or “one way links” are links from one website to a page from another website. Google and other major search engines consider backlinks “votes” for a specific page. Do you know that pages with a high number of backlinks tend to have higher organic search engine rankings.
